Each year we take time to recognize and Mahalo all of our Teachers, Kumu and Staff for their hard work and dedication working with our students and families. It really takes SUPERSTAR abilities to reach, teach, inspire and care for the children of Hau'ula.

Hau'ula Summer Learning Hub 2024
HAU‘ULA SUMMER LEARNING HUB: is open to students who are currently enrolled in grades K-5 and Papa M-2. The program will be held in-person from June 3-28, M-F from 8:00 am-1:30 pm. (Flyer)
The program is an extension of the school year and will include hands-on lessons and activities in Math, Language Arts/Hawaiian Language Arts, Writing.
In addition, students will participate in specialty classes that are designed to deepen connections and understanding of the Nā Hopena A'o (HĀ) outcomes through ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, Music, Fitness, Well-Being, Science and Mālama ‘Āina experiences.
Weekly huaka’i or field trips have been planned to historical and preservation sites to foster a greater appreciation and kuleana to our aina and the place we call home. Visits include: Waimea Valley, Kōkua Learning Farm Hale’iwa and Bishop Museum. Our final huaka’i will be a culminating activity day held at Camp Erdman.
WE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that students with excessive absences (25+ days total for the SY) and/or Tardies (20+ days total for the SY) and students with a WB or DP in one or more of the core content areas attend Summer Hub.
DATES/TIMES: June 3 - June 28, 2024 from 8:00am-1:30 pm (4 weeks)
TUITION/FEES: NO COST to students. School, Title 1, WSF and 21st Century grants are funding this program.
MEALS: All meals will be served on site. Breakfast is served from 7:30am-8:00am. Lunch is served from 11:00-11:30 am.
TRANSPORTATION: Bus services will not be available this summer.
COMMITMENT: Students are expected to attend daily and participate. No more than 2 unexcused absences allowed.

Summer 2024 Reminders
SAVE THE DATE: SUMMER 2024: We will be offering a full day summer program for students who are completing Gr. K-5 and a Kindergarten transition program for students who will be entering Kindergarten in SY 24-25
● Current students in Gr. K-5: Summer Program dates June 5-28 from 8 am-2:00 pm. The program will focus on both the academic and total well-being aspects to foster continued growth and success of every child. Field trips and extracurricular activities will be part of the
program.
● Keiki Transition for students entering Kindergarten. Program dates: July 2-19 from 8:00am-11:30 am) Must be registered for Kindergarten at Hau‘ula Elementary prior to attending.

HAU‘ULA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
GRANTED 6-YEAR WASC ACCREDITATION!
The Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC), recently announced that Hau‘ula Elementary meets the ASC WASC criteria for accreditation, based on information provided by the school, including a self-study report, and the satisfactory completion of the recent on-site accreditation visit. The Commission has granted Hau‘ula the maximum Six-Year Accreditation Status with a Mid-cycle Two-day visit through June 30, 2025.
